Our Bodies in the Age of Ozempic
A Facilitated Community Conversation

Join us for an intimate, thoughtful evening of conversation and reflection at Plus BKLYN, hosted in partnership with Her Soul Supply.

What to Expect
This event is a facilitated group conversation led by licensed therapist, Fanny Tristan, exploring how diet culture, medicalized weight loss, and shifting beauty standards are shaping how we relate to our bodies — especially in this current cultural moment.

Together, we’ll unpack:

  • The historical and cultural ways bodies have been politicized
  • How weight-loss drugs and wellness trends are impacting body image and self-trust
  • What this era means for how we see ourselves, our health, and our worth
  • How to navigate these pressures with more agency, nuance, and alignment with your own values

There’s no right or wrong perspective here. This is not a debate, a sales pitch, or a “fix your body” conversation. The goal is for attendees to leave feeling more grounded, informed, and clear about how they want to relate to their bodies — outside of external pressure.

Who This Is For
This space is for fat folks and those impacted by diet culture who want a respectful, supportive environment to think critically, ask questions, and connect with others navigating similar feelings.

Tickets
Tickets are $25 and include:

  • Admission to the facilitated session
  • Light snacks and drinks
  • A safe, supportive space for honest conversation and community connection
