Finding "your people" in 2018, can be tough – especially as a plus size fashionista! January is especially tough, being full of negative body talk, so we thought we'd round up some of our favorite plus size Facebook groups you can join.
1. The Curvy Fashionista Community
This group is pretty self-explanatory, full of FB Lives and comment trains full of selfies. The group has about 5,500 members, with babes chiming in from all over the globe!
2. Mermaid Fatshion
Founded by plus size blogger and fashionista, A0K NYC, Mermaid Fatshion is a group where ~2,000 women share their opinions, fashion finds and ask for advice. It's like a Sunday Brunch with your besties, but on Facebook! The group has active moderators, which I appreciate!
3. Weird Grrrl Gang with Margot Meanie
Margot Meanie is one of our favorite alternative plus size fashionistas. This Canadian babe founded the group this year, and it's grown to around 1,100 members. All clothing sizes are welcome, and the group is an explicit body positive space!
Is "Travel More!" one of your goals for 2019? Fat Girls Traveling is an AWESOME Facebook group, with 5,300 members. Plus size babes share insights and tips for plus size babes who are booking flights! From rides at Disneyland to airline tips to shopping locales - FGT knows what's up. Shoutout to Annette Richmond (From Annette with Love) for founding the group!
Patreon Groups!
Because moderating a Facebook Group takes a LOT of work, I've been a member of various Patreon groups for plus size folks. The She's All Fat Patreon Group is stellar, as is Dani Adriana's!
